Does the front bumper cover on the aero kit lower the front at all. Because I like the looks of the stock front and rear bumper cover. All I want is the side skirts. But I don't know if the stock body lines of the front and rear bumper cover will line up.

You might be able to buy the side skirts alone.

I bought just the black aero grill for my S.

They'll line up just fine and look great. I've seen it many times on various Coopers.

I have installed an alluminium front/back bumper grills instead of the original black ones and painted the wheelarches and the front lip and the back. In my opinion, the original kit is nicer than the Aero especially now when the details are clear on the car.
Just my personal opinion...

Ghaffry,

Do you have a pic of your car ? I'd like to see that. I have been thinking about doing the same on my cooper S.

The options and accessories list given to me by the dealer has the Aero kit broken down to individual parts and price.

Of course the dealer wants to sell you the entire kit, but I'm sure you could get only the parts you want.

When you painted your wheel arches did the texture show through or was there prep done to the arches prior to painting to prevent this?

First let me welcome you to MCO.

Great question. I have the full Aero kit installed, but have the black wheel arches.

Hi- welcome to MCO

If you plan to paint your wheel arches...the primer coat should smooth out the textured effect on the plastic. Specify you want smooth to your painter/bodyshop. It should not be a big deal. I think the texture actually help the primer hold better to the plastic than an already smooth finish would.

Sod the bodykit, i think the front skirt looks crap anyway. Just paint your arches body coloured, and it all links up because the arches links straight to the black plastic which runs right around the front and back, and when these are all painted it will look amazing.....hopefully cos thats wot im having done on my D/s S with black roof. Im also getting my wheels chromed and having a custom union jack (being from the uk) on the roof made up of black underneath, and a dark silver/pure silver combination cross. Ill post pictures when done but not due til June! arhhh! If anyone else has any of my specification, please post pics so i know wot im getting myself into. If any1's interested im getting pretty much top spec: got sat/nav, gonna get the tv-nav option too. Also wanna get the new sony mex-hd stereo with built in mp3 hard drive to go with the h/k speaker system. Oh and i want the 200bhp upgrade, but that may be wishfull thinking. Sorry, im sure no1's that interested, but im just so exited about it and like to tell people!!! Arhh, im only 21, give me a break!
