Switch Panel

So I have a 2003 S and my switch panel doesn't have the rear fog switch and it has always bugged me and I want to put something there. So I've started looking at buying a switch panel with the rear fog switch but my question is can I wire that switch up to the front to my rally lights? Also whats with getting that switch "activated"? Can I wire my lights into the harness that plugs into the new switch panel that I'd buy? Really want to fill that annoying empty slot.

The fog 'switch' just sends a signal to the BCM to turn it on. I suppose you could tap into the rear fogs, and have them power your relay.
Then you have to get the car programmed to activate that circuit (i.e. tell it that the car has rear fogs.) I had mine activated at the dealer, but there are lots of programming tools out there these days. Sounds like a great use of a full panel.

edit: Don't mind the following - though he just wanted to add a toggle.
Filling the slot is easy enough with a drill and a sharpie. I have several of them. I have yet to discover if the empty slots are missing something that would signal the BCM, but the problem is that it's not an actual switch, but an electronic signal to the BCM to turn on that circuit. I suppose you could tap into the rear fogs to send power to a relay, but haven't heard it done. Sounds like a cool idea, though! Oh, you also have to get the car programmed to activate that circuit (i.e. tell it that the car has rear fogs.)
