Is it possible to add either the original door sill or the JCW door sill to my aero side skirts. I had them painted before I picked up the car and think it would look better to have some sort sill on there not to mention it would help the paint from getting scratched up over time from getting in and out of the car.

It is possible to add sills to the Aero kit sideskirt, but there is no depression for such. I wanted to put the OE sills, but it would not look good becuase it would stick out above the skirt itself.

 

I have the factory aero kit and I installed the OE door sill plates and they look great! They are so thin that you don't notice that they lay flat on the door sill. I had that part of the side skirt painted black and the sill plate really gives the appearance of a factory install. I highly recommend them BUT, as with all other MINI parts, they are a bit pricey--- about $50 each.

 

When you installed the sills in your Aero Kit did the seals come with the metal strips? I have looked in the accesorry book from my dealer and it just shows the metal strip. I do feel cheated that we do not have door sills.
