R60 Integrated Digital Vent Gauge

Has anyone seen one installed on a R60?

http://www.p3cars.com/shop/mini/mini...p3-vent-gauge/

https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2011-...ges/ES2986333/

None of the seller's websites, google or forum have pictures of what it would look like in our cars.

I would like to some gauges for my R60, but I would like to see a picture of this one first and some comments before I pull the trigger on anything.

Thanks!

Looks very similar the R50 R52 R53 version but in the R60 / R61. We don't have any install pics but possible in the future. If we do I will post up.

R50 R52 R53 Version. To get an idea.

Yeah I saw that picture, but I'm not 100% convinced. I can't decide between the digital from P3cars or the analog ones from Cravenspeed, which for some reason are almost twice the cost.

I dont think you will be disappointed on the P3 Cars version, plus its a OEM type fitment and blends well.

Bump! I can’t find any installation instructions online for the R60 2010-16 version of this. The P3 website sells the unit but does not have the instructions. Anybody done this and have any advise?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Pete - I installed the gauge a about a five years ago. Everything went smoothly and it took about 1.5hrs to install. I have taken pictures of the installation and a I tried to describe the process as best and simple as possible. P3 asked me to do this for them back then but it doesn't seem like they have did anything with my information. PM me your email and I will send you my photos with descriptions in Photobucket.

PM sent! Thanks!

Their communication skills seem to be lacking. I sent them an email over a week ago and they never responded. I purchased the gauge last Sunday since it was the last day on sale....It was supposed to include a free trim removal kit as part of the sale but that didn’t come. I’ve sent another email, this time to “orders”, we’ll see if they respond to that.

I realize that the current COVID situation causes limitations and delays as people work from home and such, I would have expected delays in shipping, but answering emails?

I do not get the communication lag, especially when you think you want to do as much business as possible during this time. I just sent you the email with the link... Let me know if you have any questions and good luck!

Just bought the gauge too and hoping to find some guidance on install to avoid breaking any dashboard pieces. If anyone has pics, we can put them into a Google doc with instructions and post here!

Hello -

I no longer have the information and haven't had the car for about 7 years. I had to delete the photos and information once Photobucket started wanting to charge a fee.

Here is some information that I found in my emails that might help:
  • The r60 vent is installed in the vent between the steering wheel and the center of the dash.
  • Once you remove the vent, the cable should be able to be fed down to the OBD connector.
  • It took me about 1.5 hrs to install.
