Dash Work
Wrapped my dash today - carbon fiber look. First time using the heat gun method on printed vinyl. I think it looks pretty nice overall!
I have the 5-piece version (MY 2004), and all pieces came off okay. Had some trouble with the hard corners underneath the speedo, so I may redo some parts. The vinyl roll was only $20, so I'm not too worried about doing it again if I have to.

I did not expect the vinyl to look as good as it does. I keep thinking about trying it and now that I have seen what it looks like I think I may tackle something on my car. I have an actual JCW carbon dash already so I might try my down posts if I decide to put them back in.

Nope. I did clean the parts with alcohol first, though.

It's some cheap stuff I got on Amazon. I liked the texture in the sales pic, and it looks good in person. Unfortunately, it's already pulling away from the dash, so I can't recommend it.
I'd do it again, though with some better vinyl like 3M (for the better adhesive, if nothing else).
