Brake Duct Vent Covers

I would like to do my Brake Duct Vent Covers in body color, or one of the accent colors I will be using on my roof graphic. (red for example). The one vinyl guy I spoke with said those would have to be painted. But I see that you can buy replacement pieces in chrome for about $80. I'm guessing they just snap out/in. So has anyone bought the chrome covers and had them wrapped? I'd prefer that as I think it will be hard to match the vinyl colors I'm using with paint so would prefer to stick with the same thing all around to avoid color mismatches.
