Has anybody removed the side sun visor? Is it just a matter of taking off the attachment covers and removing screws? Had anybody found plugs to cover the holes?

I'm asking because I regularly hit my head on the visor whether it is up or down.

 

I have just received my new 2015 Copper and I thought it would come with the side visor as part of the compartment pack...but no, just two holes and plugs for the holes.

Did you take yours off? what did you do with it?

 

That is quite interesting.

I kept my side visor in even though it bugs me on a regular basis. So there is a good chance that I'll take it off. But I want to keep it in case I change my mind.

 

I went back this morning to the dealer as both the side visor and the netting on the underside of the boot board are missing. He has given me the board and netting from another car and ordered the visor. It seems as though Mini have changed things in the compartments pack and not bothered to inform the dealers. As I had seen the two items on all the cars they have at the showroom, I asked him to put them on and luckily he agreed!.

 

It has been part of the storage package.

Are you willing to take a picture of the area were the side visor gets stored before your dealer installs it? I'm asking because I want a picture to show my local who is having trouble finding the plug parts.

They show those plugs on the European cars, but not the US cars.

Also you can find them here...I have the F55 April 2015 and they come up in the list. If I put a date late in 2014 I am no able to select them...maybe it is a newer item as they now seem not to put on the visor in Oxford!

I had the sun visor added on Tuesday...love it. When I go to work I have sun coming in on the left and the visor blocks it perfectly!
Did you manage to find the bits I now have spare?
