Custom toggle switch logo

Hey there,
I seem to recall seeing a thread where someone had put in a full switch panel, and managed to put their own logo onto the rear fog switch, it even illuminated with the rest of the logos, and looked really slick. The logo itself looked like a house, and they had the garage door opener wired through it. I can't seem to find it again though, and was wondering if someone could point me towards it, or knows how this work was done.

Thanks,
Stephen

I recall seeing the same post but I remember seeing it over on Mini2.com. I am pretty sure it was for a garage door opener that he wired to a dummy toggle on his panel. Your right though it was an awesome job.

you know, i don't know how well this would work, but it's worth a try! get some clear film that you could run through a laser printer or ink jet printer. i would imagine there is such a thing for transparencies?! Then just come up with your logo on your computer and print it out at the correct size. You could test fit it with some scotch tape to see if it really works. Then if it does, mount it more permanently somehow. it would be like the stickers that MINI put out, but the light should show through these.

he did it by scratching the plastic...the panel is basically a clear plastic front painted black, so if u scratch off the black paint at any point, the light will show and u will have a logo...if u aren't experienced at scratching paint off of plastic into a perfect logo, u may wanna have an artist do it or create a stencil for the logo

Warning to those without ASC/DSC: if you have a blank in the second toggle position, there is no light behind where the logo would be so don't try the scratching technique there unless you buy a replacement full toggle bank.
