Interior/Exterior Pics of My Custom JCW Seats
Looks great!
I am also interested in knowing who did the interior - it really makes the car stand out.
I have the same rims on mine (in the black finish). The gold BBS center caps didn't do it for me, so I was able to get identical ones in silver. They might look good on yours too, especially with the chrome finish.
Hope to see you around (I'm in SoCal but have yet to do anything with SCMM). I'm sure I'll recognize you with that distinctive MINI!

Thanks for all the great comments. The interior was done by Mario's Fine Upholstery. They're located at 14262 E. Valley Blvd., Unit A, La Puente, CA 91746. Phone number is (626) 333-7991. Mario did the top and interior on a 1929 Model A Ford Business Coupe for me in 1994 that was a ground up restoration. It took national Best of Show in 1995 near Chicago at the Model A Restorers Club annual meet.
Mario generally works on Mercedes Benz interiors and convertible tops, often for collectors with rare or antique MB's. My Model A was the one and only he had ever done, which is to say he is truly a skilled craftsman. This is also the first Mini he's done. He saw the JCW sport seats and visualized the design for recovering the factory rear seats to match the look. He and Mario Jr. run the shop and do all the work themselves. They're about 75 miles from where I live, but I wouldn't have considered anyone else.
For you members of SCMM, the car will be going to Willow Springs Raceway this weekend for the time trials. See you there.

The mid $30K's are a fond, but distant memory at this point. But you only go around once, right?

You mean you are into the $40,000 + range. Double Holy Cow! I think my wife would kill me. But it is guys like you that let's our mouths water. I am always fascinated by these kind of custom jobs. Keep up the good work.
