Please... please take pics after they're installed! I'd love to see that, and installation looks like it willonly take about 30 seconds per footwell - MUCH easier than my cold cathodes. Oznium has so many cool new products that they've introduced since I started doing this just like 8 months ago!

. That product is an EXACT fit for the R50/R53 dome lamp. If you want bright, that's your choice.

I posted this before, but...

Dan, do you sell only this piece in blue? I looked at the site, and unless I'm misinterpretting it, it looks like you have to order a whole kit?

Just curious, I already have the majority of my car done up in blue, but I'm definitely looking for a brighter dome. A whole kit would be more than I need, but if you sell this piece in blue by itself, I'll be buying very soon.

Mach V Dan, if you decide to start making the dome lamps in colors, I'd definitely be in for a blue one!

You can order the dome light panel a la carte (click the upper left "Add To Cart" button on that page). It only comes in one color, which is "Hyper White." It looks bluish here because the normal bulb is so yellow.

At this point they are not available in any other colors. I'll see if I can get a batch made in a custom color.

More red. But orange LED's aren't common, so we're not going to have those any time soon.

Realistically, can we expect the dome lights to be available in the 3 main colors, or do you think it will just be white for awhile?

I may be completely wrong...but I'm pretty sure its the same product that has been for sale for over a year in Japan, and they have yet to offer other colors. Chances are, moss and others are just sourcing it from that company. Considering how long its been out....it seems that another company would need to start producing their own in order for us to see other colors.

Dan, I've got one of your LED Dome panels for my R53. It works great with the exception that if I put the cover back in place, the light works/doesn't...If the dome light cover is very loose, that's when it only tends to work. Have any ideas, or solutions... Thanks!

What's the secret to getting an LED replacement bulb to work in the R53 boot light? I have them in front footwells & dome and they work fine, but in the boot it flickers while the car is running. Is there a resistor needed back there?

Yes, I forget which one, I'll have to look when I get home...I had to do it for my LED boot mod.

My guess is the little bulb-socket plug may not be fully seated. I'd remove that plug and put it back in, making sure it seats firmly. You might have to lightly bend the socket tabs for a good/tight fit.

I'm looking into the fastmini.net 2007 complete interior LED kit... but the footwells in this photo look a little bluer and the dome looks a little whiter. How is this in person? do they match? perhaps it is just the amount of leds in the dome panel? could you get back to me on this please? I'm getting antsy and I really want a new car project

The kits we sell do fit the 2011 cars. I'll update the web site to be clear on this.

They are a pretty close match, but they are from different manufacturers and we do NOT guarantee a perfect match. Bulbs even vary from batch to batch in terms of color temp. If you are going to use some sort of color spectrometer to measure the similarity or difference...please just don't order.

But the Hyper White are pretty close to each other, and most normal people would not notice the difference, if there is any perceptible difference. Of course...MINI owners are not always Most Normal People. So, you have to decide how important that is to you. We have sold a TON of these kits, and the vast majority of our customers have been very happy.

Hey Mach V Dan! I just got my kit and it looks great! I'm just waiting till nightfall so I can really see them.

As for the install it took me longer to get the map lights out than the entire install itself! Oh and thanks for the candy that came with it, was really "sweet" (sorry for pun). lasted as long as the install.

I will come back later tonight and post some before and after pictures.

Since this is an older topic from 2006, now in 2012 idjmtoy is a great place to find all the led lighting you need for your Mini.

They also have a great selection of colors to select from.

Just passing this on to all at NAM since thats where I got all of my LED bulbs ! ! !
