There is at least one if not 2 or 3..... I've got some pics and I know others do as well. I'll try to post them once home from work today. Or check out the "Dirty Window" Thread on www.psmini.org in the Interior Exterior Section.

Hamann offers a diffuser (it's made for the r53, but atleast one person has fit it to their r56). Hamann stuff can be purchased at www.bavauto.com

Erebuni makes a cheaper knock off: http://www.erebunicorp.com/ge/mini.htm

I thought that I'd post this here just for kicks.
I lightly shook a container of flower over my MCS this morning (I did not cover the entire roof as you can see) and then drove a mile or so in town (mph ranging from 25-40) and then I drove on the hwy for approx. 4 miles.
Here is what happened.

Even at 70mph the air didn't hit the OEM Wing.
What does everyone think about that?

Most aero effects are, at best, worthless under 80mph. They do very little to enhance areodynamics at the speeds we normally drive.
Sadly, the shape of the Mini (with the chopped off back end) causes a rather large low pressure area at the back of the car (notice how dirty the back gets on wet, rainy, nasty days) and the little wing on top or diffuser on the bottom can't really change that.
Low pressure = suction, suction = drag. The best we can hope for is some increase in downforce at speed to help keep the rubber parts in contact with Mother Earth.

If you want to find out if your mods are doing anything worthwhile (other than looking really cool, I mean), go here:

any tips of DIY info on how to Remove a JCW wing. They are epoxied on!

I'd like to replace the JCW wing with a less agressive looking Aero kit rear spoiler.

Do you think the moisture on your car(already) played a role in the flour sticking???
I will try this when it is dry---I am really curious since I have installed the Wyvern Plus1 tail.
This is a great, cheap wind tunnel

When I 1st applied the Flour it was not effected by moisture/frost, but as the day progressed yet it did.
I made a 3 1/2 drive down to Madness Saturday morning averaging roughly 70mph and the rear window was as clean at the end of my trip as it was when I left Yakima...

Sad Side Note:
I just got the JCW Wing installed myself a couple weeks ago and I'm not going to have this MCS much longer if all plans work out

I'm waiting to see what the dealership is going to replace it w/... I gave them the Options that I want and their going to find a Mini at auction for me... Pretty much they sold me a crap Mini and they are doing the right thing! I'll post what my replacement specs are once I get it.

Hmmm, a longer airdam...interesting. But, for those with slammed cars, I think the stock one will end up looking about the same(so it would perform like this one)

Has anybody seen where you can get a Mini Challenge Cup Rear Roof Spoiler or a copy?
