Hi guys. Just installed my PLX DM-100 and have it set up to display Intake temp/MAP/Water temp/Volt. I was wondering how to convert the MAP reading in kpa to boost? Thank you!
1 kPa = 0.145 psi
1 kPa = 0.295 in Hg
1 kPa = 0.01 bar
Okay. So peak boost comes out to 9.86 psi? Is that correct? The car is pretty much stock besides an intake and turbo inlet. I thought stock boost should be like 6psi ish?
Max boost depends on many factors one of which is temperature. During the colder months boost will be less because the air is more dense and less boost is need to meet load demand. The car will also limit boost if it is not fully warmed up.

Stock boost IIRC is closer to 13 psi.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention it was raining and about 60 degrees out. Thank you! And I was surprised because I thought stock boost was much much lower.
*edit*
Hmmm. Sorry this may be a dumb question but shouldn't you be making more power due to colder/denser air? Or is it the same due to lower boost and colder weather? vs. Cold weather + same amount of boost.
