My dealer's parts dept told me that I can get the sills that say MINI on them but not the sills that say Cooper S on them (like the ones that were there before they took them off for aero kit install). What's the deal? Does this guy know what he's talking about? He also said I could get the JCW sills, but I have no JCW so that would be Richard Simmons.

I had the aero kit installed and did get the door sills that say Cooper S. Clasic MINI did the work. So you can get door sills that say Cooper S.

I don't see anything wrong with having the JCW doorsill on a car w/o JCW kit. The MC40 version of MCS has JCW logo on its carbon fiber dash, even though it doesn't come with JCW kit. JCW accessories are not exclusively reserved for cars w/JCW kit as BMW will sell any JCW parts to whomever.
