Installing GoBadge on 2013 Roadster S

Hello All,

Hoping to get some advice on installation. All of the posts that I have found either deal with the Countryman or Base Cooper, which have entirely different grilles, or just discuss where to buy badges. Here is my problem:

I have a 2013 Roadster S, and I just bought a GoBadge that I would like to mount, but it is proving to be much harder than it is easy. For those of you that have been able to mount this, did you have to take off the grille to do so?

I know that with other mounting systems that use screws, you have to remove the grille to properly secure the mount. But a huge reason why I bought the GoBadge is because of the velcro mounting system that is supposed to be easy to install and remove.

However, for those of you with similar S grilles (I think it is the same on the MCS, Coupe, and Clubman S), those tiny and different shaped holes can prove to be a b**** for an "easy install."

So, I would greatly appreciate any tips or advice.

Thanks!!!

yes you can

I installed mine yesterday on a 2013 MCS. I was a little trickier than I was anticipating as well. I was able to do it with the help of some tweezers. Push the velcro through and get it close to where you want to pull it back through and grab it with the long tweezers. It took a few minutes but be patient and it will work!

Some time ago the GoBadge contact person told me that for the mostly-closed grille you should use a zip-tie instead of the velcro.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems installing your GoBadges Mounting Kit. As previously suggested you could use a long pair of tweezers,. however for grills with these small holes, we do recommend using the cable tie that's provided. If you bend the end of the cable tie to make a hook/u-shape, it does make it easier to feed through. Let us know if you have any other questions/issues! Laury - GoBadges

Yup. Tweezers did the trick for me on my S. You just have to be patient. The velcro works just fine. I've had mine on for about a year now and it's still as tight as the day i put it on.

Thanks for the tips guys. I got my badge on last night, and it looks great. However, could not get it as far right as I would have liked because the grille has a solid backing on the portion where the driving lights would go.

Anyway, love the look, and the GoBadge is a solid product. Because of the effort it took to put on the velcro holder, I am looking into picking up one of the "screw" holders instead. I will try this for a while, and who knows, if it stays put, so will I.
