Do these caps have to be professionally installed if you have the power folding mirrors, or are there slip on caps available?

The installation is the same for powerfold and non-powerfold - take off the original cap and snap the new one in place.

 

It Takes about 2 minutes per mirror. You need a plastic trim tool you can get at any auto parts store for $5. You wedge the tool into the top of the mirror to get it started and just snap the old cover off and then snap new one on.

 

We bought ours at MINI of Ontario during the open house they had for our club (So Cal Mini Maniacs SCMM.org) earlier this month. One of the people at the run put them on for me and he did not use any tools of any kind. He basically just twisted the old caps off and I snapped the new ones on. All in all it took about 5 minutes. Super painless and I love the new look.
