I just received mine in the mail. Great price!

1 question for the stripe self-installers out there: I ordered the classic white stripes with the tiny black side stripes (you know what I'm talking about). Did anyone else get these stripes, to find that the black side stripes are just vinyl stripes sitting on top of the large white stripe? For some reason, I was thinking they might be 1 pattern on the vinyl.

Also, I found that the MINIstripes directions state to use Windex as the "application fluid" to make the stripes a little moveable while installing. Could I just use a 50/50 alcohol/water mix to do this? The ammonia content of Windex kinda worries me on wax-free paint...

Use 3 drops of DAWN or something like it to a full bottle of water.

Or a few drops of baby shampoo. That's what my pro installer uses.

I just installed mine. Yeah it is a thin accent stripe on top of the other piece. I guess that this is how they can offer the stripes for the price that they do. I got mine through ebay. It was only $20, and on their site it is about $45. So far I really like them, although I am kind of scared because I did use the windex like a dork, and didn't even think about the ammonia. I hope that my paint underneath the stripes is OK if and when I decide to pull the stripes off. I am taking some pics tomorrow, and will post them

Awesome. I'm sure I'm probably making a mountain out of a molehill, which is standard practice with me in the detailing arena

Yeah, so I installed the stripes. A little tougher than I thought it would be, and I forgot the soapy water step.

Despite myself, They turned out bad-***. I'll post a pic later on!

i got mine from http://www.mightystripes.com. it costs $30.00 ($5.00 more if you wanted the accent stripes) plus $6.00 shipping. they are made by 3m and no water is needed for installation. the installation took about 1 hour for me and required a few hours in the sun to fully activate the 3m sticky glue. the accent stripes are added on afterward on top of the white stripes. i ordered the black accent stripes toobut it was more difficult to install due to the very narrow width (1/3 inch). i am happy with just the white stripes....
