Corner marker LEDs

Hello all,

Thought I'd share my latest led mod. I thought the corner markers lacked lighting with just the little light at the bottom. So I used some amber and red LEDs to fill up the space.....

A little bright but I think the iPad camera makes them look a bit brighter than they actually are.

The LEDs come from superbrightleds.com. I used my existing markers . Had to separate the reflector from the base. The led strips are able to be cut at certain spts so imcut a length that matched the base and fed the wire through a new hole drilled at the bottom of the base ( the existing hole for the old light was not in the right position).

Hit send before I was done and spell checked . Sorry for the spelling.
Anyways......
Once the led were attached to the base I re attached the reflector with silicon adhesive to seal it back up. Wired it to the existing wiring from the old light . Only problem encountered was I damaged a reflector when separating and it cracked near the base . You can't really see the damage unless you look close.

Rear markers were a pia to get out, had to jack the back of the car up to get space to undo the marker. Other than that this is actually an easy job. Each marker took not more than 20 min to do.

Yes strips, but I since they are in the existing reflector housing they still look stock.

Even with that 194 canbus led, it will not light up the whole reflector, still just the base.

Well, the stock bulb just lights up a "dot" on the base.

Still, pretty cool.
