Installing vinyl striping seems easy enough to DIY but is there anything not obvious that would make installing stripes *WELL* difficult ?

Is there any pro or con WRT using factory MINI stripes versus on-line vendors ?

 

I've found no substantial quality difference in OEM vinyl vs the vinyl most of the aftermarket vendors use.

As far as install, decide if you want to do a dry install or wet install. Wet install is more forgiving so for the first time installer, I'd recommend that method. Or, if you're installing sport stripes I recommend wet method because they're a little more difficult.
