Where can I find this?

I really don't like the orange reflector or indicator on the headlights. It doesn't flow and it is very noticable. I was just wondering if anyone knew where I can buy the clear ones with a hint of orange that I've seen on some minis. Thanks in advance

Unfortunately you cant buy the clear lens separately. A member here had made a prototype but nothing came of it. What you can do to remove the orange is pop out the orange reflector lens and put in a silver bulb. More discussion in this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...al-lenses.html

Good luck; I'm interested as well but I've been told (on this forum) that the only way to get clear turn signals is to buy an entire new headlight assy and switch out my headlights. The orange lenses can be removed and reinstalled without disassembling the headlight, looks like a good way for one our vendors to make some money.

@kirby11: silver bulb? Do you where I can find one?

@Ammodave: yeah I've been looking for one but hadn't found anyone selling them (don't know why though). That's why I thought I would just ask the question here (on this forum).

Google Search..... "Silver Bulb Mini Cooper"

It's not hard to do your own research.

I got mine on ebay. Here's a link to the ones I bought but I have a 2011 so before you order, check your current bulbs to see if the little pins at the base of the bulb are straight across from each other, or offset. The ebay listing has a little drawing of the pins.

....or you can do a search, look 6-7 responses down and just call Way at Way Motor Works or any other respected vendor who will actually have the knowledge to sell you the correct (and quality) parts.

I did do research already and I'm probably going to buy from way. It's just the whole ebay thing that I don't trust all that well. Quality costs money.

Oh thank the gods to hear that from another!!!!
I AM going up next week to buy and get a whole load of stuff installed by Way (and have before), so maybe I a bit biased, but I would go to ANY respected vendor (MINI or otherwise) and buy quality than go for cheap ebay crap.

Yep... Just loving on knowing that people are supporting businesses that are supporting us. I also just don't believe in going cheap on my MINI, the thing that takes me everywhere I want to go. Must be a personality flaw.

the "hint of orange" is the amber glassed bulb behind the clear lense

i replaced my amber bulbs with the mirrored amber bulbs to get rid of the "hint of orange"

The amber lenses in the headlights can't be swapped out for just clear ones you do have to replace the whole headlight.
We do offer the silver bulbs if you have the clear lenses.

Swapping out the lenses is the easy part; finding the clear lenses is the hard part. Be a hero Way and use your vendor connections to source and stock the clear lenses.

I originally tried to hunt down the clear lenses myself but I realized it was going to take forever. Eventually I just pulled out the amber lenses and I was so happy to get rid of that eyesore I never thought about finding the clear lenses again. It looks fine, it works the same. I kept the amber headlight bulbs inside for a while to get that "egg-yolk" look but eventually I tinted the front fender flare reflectors to delete that ugliness and then replaced my amber headlight bulbs with stealth chrome finish ones.

For reference, here is a picture of the OEM Xenon Headlight with REMOVED AMBER LENSES and OEM AMBER INDICATOR BULB. That's the egg-yolk look.
