Interior/Exterior Alta boost gauge kit
Alta boost gauge kit
What is everyone's opinion about the alta boost gauge kit? I've heard both good and bad about the prosport gauges but I like this kit because it is the closest match to OEM I have found. Anyone who has experience with the kit/ prosport gauges feel free to leave your input
Marshall instruments has gages that were made to match MINI gages.

Prosport gauges are cheap and the alta version is overpriced. Its that simple. The only problem I have with mine is soon after installing I hit a pothole and it was enough to jolt it slightly out of whack. It now reads ~1.5 low. When the car is off it reads -1.5 vac. I dont really even have a need for a boost gauge though, and it only cost me $40 so it doesn't bother me much. It still will read 15psi in cooler temps
Dave, i found those gauges but on the main page they are chrome trim. I have a '10 MCS and the trim around the tach and speedo is light grey, and not chrome. however i just read it again and they come stock as grey and come with a snap on peice that is chrome. This is starting to look like a better option so thank you for your comment
submitaweasel, how do you have the gauge mounted and where/how did you tap to get a boost reading without the boost port adapter?

I haven't really gotten a chance to use it but from what I've played with it I'm happy with the ALTA kit. Pretty simple install. I will only say that I wish I had a different dial face to match more closely to the MINI gauges or a complete digital display.
