Does anyone know how to remove the MCS rear view mirror? I am considering installing a wide angle mirror (Wink) and need to remove the existing mirror to see how it would work.

Turn the base on the roof 90 degrees to the left or right. It will unlock and you can remove it.

 

I put one of those clip on wide view mirrors, works great for me!

 

Is it possible to remove the auto-dimming mirror? I have auto-wipers too if this matters. It gets in the way of my video camera during autoX even when its turned sideways. I can put the camera on the roof but if it falls off the camera is dead.
