The letter "S" in the Cooper S chrome side vent grills has a red center. Maybe it's some really well masked red paint, but I think it looks like a decal or a sticker of some kind. I hate the color red so they've got to go, but I don't want to just start scratching away to see what it is. If it's paint or a hard brittle decal thats tough to chip off I'll just leave it alone and paint over it, and would like to start with a level unchipped up base. But if it's a sticker that a little patience and a hair dryer will work off to leave a nice chrome surface underneath I'm all for that. Anyone have any experience in this area? Thanks.
