Anyone know if the audi tt shift boot will fit in the mini? I saw someone was using an aftermarket knock-off intended for the hyundai tiburon, but it wasn't exactly the same. So will it fit?

I went with the min mania black leather shift and E brake boots,cause I was pissed that the black leather interior I bought didn't come with them.They look great,only problem I had was that the plastic skirt that acts as the support ,needs to be transfered from the old one tto the new one,and I managed to break the shift boot support in getting it out:VERY FRAGILE!.Put it back in broken ,and it doesn't show or effect the three f's (form ,fit,function) at all. Peace

That was me and no, TT won't fit and will cost you much more. The shaft and boot base are different diameters I think and the top of boot sits lower below the boot collar of the Mini so even if you manage to fit it on the bottom, you'd have to some how trim the collar away so it doesn't show above the boot. Maybe if you used B&M, I don't know.

 

Well boo, was just a thought. Oh well. I guess audi parts would be kinda expensive now wouldn't they...hehe.
