Let's try this again (the dang PICs, I mean). No, it's not adjustable. No, the bottoms not finished... But...it looks way cool and I'm sure it works just fine for my use. If this were a dedicated track car, I'd be using coil overs and better compounds in addition to aero aids.

The splitter looks good.

side note I took a look at fixing that first picture, but your photo host has a strange file naming convention (makes imagestation's .jpg.orig.jpg look normal)

I was kinda dissapointed to see the underside of the splitter isn't finished like the topside Also, the supporting turnbucles are not mounted to a bumper hard-point (under load, they flex the bumper face), so even though the unit can withstand high-speed, I don't see the turnbuckles actually helping fine-tune the wind-tunnel experiments.

Other than the nit-pick, it certainly adds visual beef; makes the MINI look lower in front, and a technical, race-oriented look.

Can't see your pictures. But I'll let you know how it looks after I install mine.
Should be here later this week.

What sort of force is that thing supposed to generate?

Hey Peter, I'm very happy with the splitter. You're right about the unfinished bottom side. I did go ahead and added extra stainless washers for both sides of the mounting area. Also, I added another 5 fasteners between the uprights attaching them close to the leading edge of the factory air dam and that made the splitter structrually intrigral with the bumper.

Thanks for another great product

m7 Air Splitter -- EXPOSED!!!!!

If you want a m7 Splitter and want to save yourself $125 go to www.visracing.com . They sell a universal fit Splitter made by Carbon Designs that looks exactly the same as the m7 unit. I would be willing to bet that it is the same unit, right down to the turn buckles. The unit sells for $175 but you have to drill your own mounting holes.

Hmmm....doesn't quite look the same. Nice though...but it doesn't quite fit the curves of the Mini's plan view.

When...Oh when will someone make one of these for my Mini :

The Carbon Design Type 1 is similar to the M7

The M7 is a flat piece of carbon fiber sheet with 2 turn buckles (same as Carbon Designs), There is a much better picture of the Carbon Design type 1 splitter in Sport Compact magazine.
