R53 OEM Nav needs upgrading

Hoping for some input out here with next part of project.
The thought is removing the unit & replacing with double din head unit as one below.
Has/is there a discussion of this to help give a head start?

Just a thought since I was going through the same thing but didn't want to go through the pain to relocated switches, rip out my H/K system etc.

I am using an iPad2 for my navigation (TomTom app) and it works great. Bonus is that I also get all the other functions of the iPad including Pandora, Netflix, itunes, email etc. Crafted a removable mount that slides in under the dash plastic to hold the iPad2, been rock solid for the past 2 months. Check out my post from a few weeks ago with pictures of the mount.

Anyway just a thoght if you have an iPad or needed a reason to buy one. Will obviously work with an iPhone as well.

FYI, I jailbroke my iPhone 4 to use MyWI 5.0 app to tether for data.
