Hood Scoop LEDs

Hey i've read a few posts here and there about hood scoop LEDs and did some research and found these at fastmini.net :

http://www.fastmini.net/hoscledinkit.html

Anyone have these or any additional pictures? I'm really considering purchasing this and hopefully wiring them as my DRLs. I've emailed the guys at machV (owners of fastmini.net) without any response....

Well my idea is to just use it as a DRL, not to be "ricey," more practicality. Then behind it put some blue LEDs that scroll and what not when i'm parked (my MCS is laser blue, the blue won't be a problem since I'm an EMT with a blue light permit in NJ):

Great use for an EMT. Totally silly rice for the rest of us. Still...I am 42 and it does remind me of K.I.T.T. Do you think they disappear behind the grill when off? For $29.00 it might be fun if you can only really see them when they are on.

I dont understand how these lights would even hold up with how hot that area gets on the car... your luck your an EMT cause you know how jersey is with any types of after market lighting. Easy pickings for them, even tints.. Id like to see this pictures of anyones MINI that has this though..
