Just took possession of a crystal silver CM with black roof and wheels. I ordered the black bonnet stripes, which are nice, but I'd like to get stripes for the boot, too. Would it be strange to get the black sport stripes (two stripes close together) for the boot, when the ones on the bonnet are separated?

 

you can't see them both at the same time, but yeah, I don't think that would look right..

 

Think I'd keep them uniform. Even though you can't see them both at the same time I still think it'd look weird.

 

I know there's someone on the forum that did that if you want to see it. I'll look, but if I can't find it, you'd have to do some searching in either the stripes thread or the photo thread.

Edit: I didn't see it in the stripes thread, so try checking the photo thread. I know I've seen it, because I thought it looked odd but not terrible.

 

Thanks, guys. I looked through the Countryman photos sticky, but didn't see an example. Of course, as fishbulb points out, you usually can't see them both at the same time anyway.

I'm still thinking of doing it, though. I just like the way the sport stripes look on the boot, maybe because it breaks up that big expanse of silver better.

 

It's your car, do what you think would look right.
If you do it and it doesn't appeal to you, you can always remove it.
