Anyone have issues with the aftermarket stripes fitting around the Mini badges? And what company did you go with? Thanks

I just had some installed and the were totally cut wrong. So I need a new set. Thanks

 

I went to a local vinyl shop and had them cut and install my stripes. He had a templet for around the emblems. I realize you have a countryman, not a cooper, but maybe a local shop has the measurements saved in their system?

 

Depends who you get your stipes from. There are vendors out there that will cut around or not or even design to your taste. Consider sourcing your stripes from vendors that have experience with MINIs. Many have templates they use to cut what you're looking for.

 

The bonnet and boot emblems are fairly easy to remove, stripe under and replace. If that helps. I removed all the stick on ones.

I described what I wanted to a small shop (Automorphosis). The Countryman was in their computer so they had complete measurements and were able to die cut our custom stripes to fit around the emblems, roll them up and send them to us. I made my own template when it was time to trim the top stripes in order to fit them around the antenna base.

 

Be careful having someone put on stripes that does not use the template. I had a local shop put on a set of viper stripes. I was not happy with them because they were not exactly strait and tried cutting around the emblems. When I pulled the stripes off they had used a razor blade to cut around the emblems and straighten the lines. My car is currently getting repainted and I am dealing with trying to recover the cost of the repair.
