HID Bulb Replacement

Hi All,

Thinking about replacing the OEM Xenon bulb with an aftermarket (ie, going from the OEM 4100K to a 6000K), which brand would you recommend/experimented with that is reputable and won't do any damage to our housing? Too bad we can pick up the Philips Ultinon 85410WX D1S 85410 WX 85V 35W here in the US, that would be sweet

I found the Philips XenStart 9285 141 294 WX rated at 6000K, but am concerned about the authenticity of these since there appears to be a lot of fakes from China

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Any D1S bulb will fit and work. But why would you want to go to 6000K? Humans don't see light in the bluer part of the spectrum very well, and it only get worse as you age. 6000K is getting up there. Usually the higher the color temp, the lower the lumen output, and it's bluer too. So you get less light and at a color that you can't see very well... Getting worse and worse.
