How much did you pay to install Aero grills??

I went to the Mach V (Sterling, VA) today to install my Aero grills and Sidemarker Lens.

And, they charged me $270(They told me it is 3hours job) for it. Is this reasonable price???

3 hours seems a bit excessive. The upper grill is a straight swap and I replaced mine in about 20 minutes. The side marker lenses are maybe 30 seconds each. The real work is in the aero lower grill because it involves some cutting to align the attachment tabs for a non-aero bumper. Maybe the total job could take up to 3 hours for someone doing it for the first time, but it should be much less for anybody who has done it before.

I would have gladly paid $270.

Just did my last weekend. Upper was easy. Getting the bumper off was easy, getting the old lower off was easy...

Cleaning the tape off from old and painting took a little time.

Getting the new lower on was a PITA!. Cutting the grill to fit wasn't bad as long as you take your time. Then there was the cutting new slots in the bumper for the tab locations on the new grill which wasn't huge deal but took time but then there was the fact that the tabs on the new grill went in much deeper into the bumper (on mine) than the old ones so didn't 'catch' to hold the grill tight against the bumper. My solution ended up being holding the grill in tight (taping) then from the backside wrapping each tab extension with thinner picture hanging wire. This took up the space between the back of the bumper and the notch on the tab. Then went over each tab with some of the cold weld stuff. Next morning the weld was hard, I pulled off the tape and it stayed tight in place. I didn't take any pictures of the process because there were plenty here and I didn't go into it thinking it would be a process...

I have an 08 conv S so either they are all like this or I was sent the wrong grill and made it work. I'll never know.
