Chrono Pack install in 03

I tried to install the Chrono Pack gauges from an 05 in my 03 this evening. For the most part it doesn't work. I wanted to document the swap for others that might be thinking of doing this since there isn't a whole lot of info out there on it.

I purchased the dual tach/speedo steering column gauges and Chrono pack center gauge from a salvage 2005. Everything did just about bolt right in. The trim panel for the steering column gauges needed a bit of trimming to work. Here's the list of what didn't work though-

1. Airbag light was on. Maybe from the cluster coming from a car with deployed airbags?
2. Tire warning light was on.
3. Seat belt light was on.
4. DSC light was on. Could not engage DSC, it was always off.
5. Oil pressure gauge does not work.
6. Oil temperature gauge does not work.

Worth noting is that the mileage comes from the center gauge, not speedo or the cars ECU. I had seen this discussed a few times and wanted to clarify it.

Everything else was fully functional as far as tach, speedo, gas gauge, check engine, blinkers etc.

Well needless to say I would not recommend trying this and as such I'm putting the gauge pack up for sale. I would have loved for this to be plug and play.

I checked into this years ago and unfortunately the wiring harnesses are different so it is not a plug and play job. You would also probably need the dealer to code the new cluster to your car's ECU.

On the later cars there does not seem to be an issue if you do not get the gauges coded to the car- If you don't mind the mileage being different. They are able to plug the gauges in and they work 100%.
