Finally got to fix these lights. It was the only thing bothering me about the CM.

Still blinks amber, I'll post a video when I have time. Next up are the parking lights above the fogs, white LEDs. Fogs may also get HIDs...

Looks much better. Please post info if you convert the fogs. I would be very interested. The lights above the fogs will throw an error if you use a regular LED. The canbus version won't. Something to consider when you are buying.

Mod like you mean it!

I have the led (can bus) there and while they certainly look better than the OE, they don't match the xenons or xenon match fogs I have, which bothers me.

These look perfect for the turns, not as blue as diadems.

Wait, way cheaper, thats a bit of an over statement considering were talking turn signals, it's going to save you $4-$10 max (depending on the bulb you go with), and that's just at first, chances are the increased heat caused by the paint will cause the stock bulb to prematurely wear since they weren't designed to be painted, so long term it probably won't even save you that, not to mention time is money, so no thanks.

Btw, exactly what bulb is the front turn signal 1156 or 1157?

I thought about just painting them but decided against of since it was cheaper to buy the bulbs than the paint imo.

Bought them on eBay just searched 7506 Chrome.

Now I'm totally confused. The OEM bulb, PY21W, same as the 7507 have 150 degree offset pins. I believe the 7506 has 180 degree pins. I wouldn't think these would interchange?

I know very little about bulbs but enough about math for this... The pins on the bulb were directly across from each other so I would venture to guess its 180 degrees. Maybe different on those headlight assemblies that are halogen and not xenon?

Halogen vs xenon must be the difference. I have halogen headlights and turn bulb pins are 150 degree.

Thanks for the link. Just ordered a set. Almost got some paint the other day, but this looks like a better, easier option.

So does anyone know which ones will fit the non-xenon headlights?

The turn signal bulbs are the same Xenon or not.
Here are the ones we carry:

These will work Countryman too

Not saying these will not fit, but I know the CMS with non xenon use a bulb with 150 degree pin offset. If the above poster used bulbs with 180 degree pins there must be a difference between the two.

Not saying your wrong, but that is not whats reported above, also you don't even list what bulb it is, not to mention a bit over priced.

Sorry but your wrong. I have been doing this since 2001. 10 years and no burned out bulbs so far.. Maybe if you don't have some silver paint around it may cost more, but painting them works. Pay if you want. Don't if your smart..

Wrong, well I'd have to see actual proof, but even if we take that small portion of the argument out of the equation, it still doesn't make much sense. Lets say you make $10 an hour, and it takes a half hour to get the paint and paint them, you might be saving $6. Considering the bulbs cost a whole $11 (shipped) on ebay. Now if you make more than $10 an hour, and/or have to actually go and buy the paint it's going to cost exponentially more. So actually the smart thing to do (if you make more than $10 an hour and/or don't have the paint) is to just buy the bulbs. Not that it should matter so much either way (that we need to use terms like "way" cheaper, or the "smart" thing to do) we are talking dinky light bulbs and a difference of chicken scratch, do what you like.

That is unless your buying the lights from way motor works, and paying $29 + shipping for them, then you'll have to be making substantially more than $10 an hour

I prefer not to have to wait for something I can do myself. Maybe thats it. Its not about a few $'s..

You want proof, ask me. I've done it for over 10 years.. Probably still using the same can of paint. Never bought a bulb. I'd say it works. None the less ebay is a wonderful place to shop.

And sitting in my garage working on my Mini is PRICELESS...

At least we can agree that silver looks better..

After a bit of research, the correct bulbs for year 2011 with either Halogen or Xenon are the 7507 as they have the 150 degree pin offset. I did not look up earlier model years.

7506 have the 180 pin offset and will not work for the front turn signals.

I would bet pinks on the fact that I installed 7506 in my cms. I will actually take pictures of the bulbs I removed that are sitting on my counter when I get home.
