Interior/Exterior Deyolked headlights!
Bulb saga: After ordering the wrong bulbs, (PY21W/8A/7507's from Osram) I re-ordered the ones that worked correctly
with my Xenons: 1157A. (not sure if this is equivalent to 7506...?)
(This is the type with the posts set at 180 degrees, but different post "heights" so they will only go in one way. I would recommend pulling whatever you have and checking for your type before ordering, just in case.)
The ones I ordered correctly were a set of Silverstars from Sylvania, and they looked very blue when in place. So I painted the front of the bulbs lightly in silver...still too blue. I FINALLY ended up with silvered bulbs that look like the ones here in the op. Got mine here:
http://www.hidlightsusa.com/shopping...0Bulbs&sc=1157
$6.99 (for a PAIR...watch some of the sales/ads)
Definitely not as bright as stock or Silverstars, but not blue either, which was almost as bad as amber, imho.
(If anyone needs any help switching out bulbs, I can now do it blindfolded...

Pins directly across from each other

Pins at different heights.

Package indicating bulb type as 7506.
Do the 2 of you guys that posted as 7506 being the right bulb have adaptive lighting as well? Maybe the xenon and halogen are 7507 and xenon with adaptive are 7506? Just throwing that out there.
I have Xenon but non-adaptive.
Your 7506 look exactly like my 1157's. Same thing just different manufacturers...? Double contact, double element, 180* posts.

Did some reading on BMW and other forums but not fully to the bottom of this yet, here is what I've found out, general information first:
7507 and 7506 should be interchangeable (european bulb)
1157 and 1156 are interchangeable (american/asian bulb)
however 7507, 7506 are not fully interchangeable with 1157, 1156 because of the wattage and volt difference (12v/21w vs. 12.8v/27w, respectively), which actually means you could use 1156/07 for 7506/07 but will blink faster, but not vice versa as it would work but throw a code, and probably burn out.
Seems the difference in the last digit is the number of filaments on the bulb...the last digit 7 bulbs are dual filament and the last digit 6 bulbs are single filament. if initally the bulb is dual filament, that means there are two ways to turn it on, and possibly different intensities, such as the brake light when you turn on your headlights and then when you actually brake.
The dual filament bulbs will fit in the single filament bulb but you may have to shave one of the filament connectors off. single filament bulbs will fit in the dual filament slots, but you may lose one of the lights and get a light out error in the dash.
Not fully sure about the pin differences, seems the 7507 has 150 degree the other three have 180 degree (odd) but it seems if you play around with any of them you can make it fit, but I may be wrong on this.
In the end...you're best bet is using the original bulb size, but this is why we have a lot of different results.
Now as for which bulb is the right bulb:
It sounds like the front turn signal should be the 7506, as its a european car, and I would have expected it to only need a single filament (only has one function/intensity, blinking). However, the bulb above that oonemesisoo took out looks like its dual filament to me (although I may be wrong on that, and probably am because it then makes no sense) as it would have to be a 7507, except that the pins are certainly 180 degrees, so a 1157, but BMW/MINI shouldn't use 1157s, very confusing.
But, the 7506 does fit (as per oonemesisoo), so as long as its not throwing a code and not missing any functionality (do both turn/hazard work, I wonder if the turn signals are brighter at night), I would say thats the bulb to go with. If that's the case you could also use the 1156/1157 as well, but they will blink fast, and are not the right bulbs (or shouldn't be, lol).
Finally, was playing around with the vehicle bulb finder on www.superbrightleds.com, they do not list a front turn signal bulb for the CM yet (they do have every other bulb listed though), so I took a look at previous MC to get an idea of what Mini has been using, and it oddly list both the 7506 and 7507 (not saying why, and yes you have the option to pick both Xenon and non xenon equipped and it list both for each) as the front turn signal bulb. Not sure if this means you could use either, or like has been mentioned its a crap shoot as to which bulb you got as they use both, or they list both even though they have a spot for you to check xenon equipped or not. The interesting thing is they use the 7506 for every other bulb in the car (both the CM and the MC/S) so why would they even bother using the 7507 if it didn't have a purpose, and then switch.
And again AFAIK no Mini or BMW car uses a 1156 or 1157 bulb, but they will work if its the 7506 and possibly work if its the 7507, but blink fast lol.

Well...looks like the CM's have different bulbs. Geezh, never can tell I guess unless you pull the bulbs out and look for yourself.
I should clarify that I was looking at R56 data with either Justa or S with either Halogen or Xenon for year 2011.
But, I'll get pics of what's in my car.

Ok so disregard everything I've said so far (lol) 7506 did not work for me, when I took out the OE bulb it was a GE 2357 which is an 1157 bulb. However it does look exactly the same as the OPs bulb. I did not order mine from ebay (so they may be sending a different bulb to those ordering it from there), cause I do not see how the 7506 could replace that bulb as it has a single contact point not a dual contact point like 1157.
Flyer if you can take a picture of the bulb, I wan't to see why its working (if it does) and mine doesn't, might just be the position of the contact point.

These are NOT the right bulbs (or should I say not the same bulbs), but they DO work. 1156 is the number on the bulb. Just slightly dimmer than stock.
