Vent Visors for the Mini?

I couldn't find them anywhere online for the Countryman. I really like to have the windows vented when it rains. The water just pours in. I have never wanted them on a car and now that I do I can't have them..

Then I spot this in a Japanese Mini accessories brochure.. I'm gonna call the dealer tomorrow and see if the part number is any good..

Logo or no logo, I want them.. I called the dealer and they are definitely not available in the US. Something to do with US standards or some BS..
I am contacting some friends in Japan and I'm gonna see if they can just ship them over for me.. What a PIA..

Not my cup of tea, but I do believe they are also available in Europe, and it tends to be a lot easier and cheaper to get them shipped here, from there, especially on the east coast.

Never been my cup of tea either, but they are needed if you live where it rains a lot.. Europe heh? I tried the part number in the UK mini site and it was no good also.. I'll try some other countries and see what I get..

Hasn't bothered me yet, and we've gotten plenty of rain since I've had my CM, so I don't think they are needed at all. I just can't stand the looks.

I'd be interested. Perhaps a group buy or multi-unit purchase could be arranged. Please let us know...

I found a place able to get them but the current exchange rate with shipping would be over $520! Let's hope the Yen has a strong comeback..

At over $500 US dollars there is no update... I emailed the Vent Visor company and she said they have no interest in producing them in the US..

I'll keep my windows up

Im intereted in the vent visors also. Ive had them on my last 5 cars. I love driving with the window cracked open just a little without getting rained on. They also keep the wind noise down.

update for window vent visor or deflector

Update... I found these window vent visors on ebay made or sold by a company in California called Restyling Specialist. Looks like they have visors for R50, 53, 56, 57 for $100

Has anyone tried these? For 100 bucks, I think it's worth a try. The photos look real enough to me.

links to ebay items I found, shorten with bitly

Thoughts?

Hello Countrymen & Countrywomen

Weathertech has a product request form on their website....

http://www.weathertech.com/service/p...-request-form/

i have put in a request for side window deflectors for the countryman, mentioning that i have had them on my last 5 vehicles along with their floormats. (floormats are available NOW)

please do the same and maybe they will make them.....
remember the squeeky wheel theory
