Interior/Exterior HIDs causing warning indicator
HIDs causing warning indicator
Hello All
I'm new to this forum and had a question about installing HIDs. My friend's got me an HID kit and installed it on my Mini Cooper (2009). After installing, i keep getting the light indicators in my dash as well as the permanent saved warning indicator in the bottom of the dash. From what i understand after some forum reading, it's because the HIDs are 35 watt, and the car computer thinks the bulbs are out.
I tried a fix i read about where you connect a wire (one single wire) to the 12V on the right and left and that should stabilize and "trick" the computer. It didn't work. :( My friend seems to think the problem lies in the ballast.
Any ideas of how to fix or did anyone else have the same problem? The indicators are driving me crazy!!
Thanks!
