Headlight HID Joey Mod Question

I am curious as If I can put the lights back together without the piece that everyone paints black, temporarly.

I am wanting to send mine out to be professionaly done and don't want to be without headlights for weeks.

I would say probably not. from what i have seen that part i believe is plastic welded to the back housing and does not come off.

But then again i could be wrong.

I have seen people with this part alone so they can paint it .

With the massive amount of people that have done this Joey mod some must know

Thanks

You could buy the pieces, have them done then swap them out. Then have yours done and sell them, creating a Joey Joy business of selling/exchanging the parts for this mod.

Love the ren and stimpy pic

Only problem is
The Hid lights are crazy money dont want to sit on $1200 worth of lights and when i sell them i know i wont get back what i have in them.

I think if a company made a joey mod insert out of black plastic they would sell a ton

The joey mod is not a perfect solution for this as it peels and bubbles

Truth be known i want to paint mine black and have them wrapped in carbon
Only so you cant see the chrome through the carbon
