There is a seem for the hood, it probably lifts forward like a vette does.

I like how he used some mini truckin influences, but he took it a little far.

for those who don't know mini truckers... will shave door handles and put in door poppers, and shave tail lights and put in LED tail lights...

Gentlemen, perhaps you rush to judgement too quickly. Someone went to a great deal of effort to come up with this design. Now if we break down the overall styling and look at the astectics of individual design elements.....wait a minute......excuse me but I have to thow up now. Nevermind!

No matter what color it was in... it would be awful... but that color really really is horrible. It reminds me of a nasty case of bile after dry heaves...speaking of which....

The designer of this kit must be either be on some serious drugs or should get back on the medications.

Ladies and Germs,

I have just ripped out my eyeballs. I think when this threat was posted we didn't think about the trauma it would cause to the mini community.

Two words to the designer....KILL YOURSELF!

It could have a place on our planet....at a carnival, if the Grape Ape drove it....

Needs a lesson (or many) from Chip Foose and beating from Henry Rollins.

That car looks like 2500 pounds of melted Kraft Caramels. Appalling.

$2000 installed- an hour w/ hammers and hacksaws in the hands of a bunch of chimpanzees would probably go for a whole lot less money, and the results could only be easier on the eye.

Gang:

Since you seem to like the vehicle so much, you will be ecstatic to note that it is featured in the second issue of Go MINI, the new UK MINI publication. Owner is a 19 y/o named Jason. 6,000 UK pounds worth of mods and he states he has logged 17K of street miles. The exhausts were originally 6 inch in diameter, but he felt triangles fit the bumper better. There's more but that's as much of the article as I could read.

Joe's right...and on top of that this is a Mini One with an air suspension (air tank in boot) which gives it "6 inches of travel at the touch of a button." And, the system is independent front to back so he can raise the back separately from the front. Price for this mod...4000 pounds!

After all our (well deserved, IMO) bashing, and having read the article, I'd have to say that the young guy just loves his MINI, went with his vision, and knows he gets mixed reactions. Even the GO MINI writers had fun with this one. A quote:

"Is is a bird? No, despite appearances to the contrary, due to the fact that this car has had more cosmetic surgery than Wacko Jacko and Cher put together, it's actually a Mini One."

The rest of the article is similarly spiced with humor. Nicely written.....and yet respectful of young Jason and his "special" MINI.
