Start sawing........There is nothing on the market that I am aware of. I too am going to build something. I know that what little space there is can be "expanded" with something like a large glove box organizer. I was also going to cover it with black carpeting to match the interior!

Some folks wrote in the MNI Owner's Lounge (or NAM?) about an expandable boot organizer they found at Target. They were very happy with it.

I got one of those, very cool, but it definately does not have shelves. Vertical partitioning only.

A Griots wash bucket's all I need. Keeps all the cleaning equipment and towels along with a fire extinguisher and they're still room enough left for at least a few thousand rounds

I've got an organizer that I built out of 1/4" masonite. It has a flat top that when the seats are folded down makes the back flat. It allows me to store all my junk below and keep a clean boot.

Well done! I like that. No use for the cargo net, though, eh? Don't things slide around now? Do you keep the gallon of milk on the passenger seat for the ride home?

Yes there is a "shelf/unit" that hangs below the cover for the boot. I saw one last weekend and can find out who had it and put a post here.

Bobbyn,
Have you looked at the saddle bags MINI sells for the back of the rear seats? Don't have a picture, but it's in their 2003 Accessories catalog.

As for the boot box, you can purchase it from Classic MINI Parts for 20% off or $64
Just email Brian at bmwparts@classicautocampus.com

Hi Guys...

Yes Charlie I have seen that saddle bag...it is very nice..

I stopped at Office Max yesterday and picked up 2 - 7" wide plastic portable pendeflex cases and 1 that was 22" wide...the depth (front to back) is 14" and fits the well perfectly..and they are 12" high. This gives me enough room to put my gym bag on top
of them and it doesn't interfere with the boot lid.

Its perfect for what I need....cleaning stuff in one of the small ones, brochures for my work in the other...and misc rags, hard hat and stuff in the big middle one.... I will try to attach a picture.

I also got the parcel shelf and am going to glue a piece of 1/2" OD black gas line hose
to the front edge to stop things from flying off it....mints....pens and stuff.

I also keep a towel lined clear plastic shoe box on the floor behind the passenger seat to keep larger things in that I want to be able to get easy....phone to lap top cable, phone charger cord, tube of hand cream, asprins...crap like that.

I got the glove box organizer which is nice...and the center consol organizer which to me seems pretty usless....it's so small...but I'm feeling my way thru it.

I ordered a vector 12 volt 4.5 gal capacity cooler which looks like a center consol thing....I'm gona use the baby seat tie downs to mount that in the center of the rear seat so I can have my water and protien drinks handy w/o going into the boot....
I'm on the road alot...

My laptop rack is also in and is easly removed for a passenger or if I need to clear my head and just enjoy driving...

How do I attach a picture from my doc's?

Not sure if this will work.....

Here's the pictures of the boxes I used in my boot

I was going to make something out of plywood and carpet it but this makes it simple to remove...I put some pieces of foam between them and there nice and tight...
