I think your boot looks booty-licious.
Looks aggressive. Like "don't mess with me"!

Looks very "TT"ish...I have been thinking about that for a while...but it would look odd with the short shifter...

That's so funny you say that. That is EXACTLY what I was thinking when I saw the picture. I think my TR3A had the similar boot.

Thanks for the votes everyone. I know it not for everyone. But that's what so cool about having your own Mini to play with. I'm happy with the outcome now that the boot makes the shifter look more mechanically connected. My idea of interior design is basically what you see inside a race car Pure function. Not that I I'll start stripping panels off. Now if I could just find a similar accordian style rubber boot for the hand brake, I'd be "almost" done Anyone know of a source?

Veddy British, circa 1960. I'll bet finding neutral is a breeze with your new boot.

It reminds me of our old 81 Tercel. I always hated rubber boots, but that actually looks cool. Is it a factory Tiburon part?

Looks like something out of inspector gadget. I like though.

btw do you still have that stencil you used for the MCS on the radiator?
if you do please let me know, i would like to see if maybe you are willing to let a person borrow (with deposit of course) or buy it from you.

Thanks,
Robert

No, it's an after market piece for the 03 Tiburon. It's not the usual weather seal type (thin and easy to rip garbage, those I hate too) Very nice quality, heavy guage rubber designed to be exposed.

Sorry, Robert. It was a disposable one. I went to a vinyl decal maker (you can find them at every flea market, you know, the guy with a xacto plotter and a PC?). I selected a font I liked and had them made in reverse so that the letters were removed. I then applied it carefully to the condensor and removed the carrier. Voila...instant stencil. Next, I masked off around the decal. Becareful to apply the spray paint in very light coats or it will creep under the stencil. It will take 4 to 5 coats so take your time. PM me if you want me to elaborate further

I like the boot. Like someone else said, it reminds me of a mid-'80s Porsche 911. I know you said it's an aftermarket piece for an '03 Tiburon. Care to be more specific (manufacturer/vendor/etc...) or are you trying to keep this one a secret so you can remain unique?
