03 Mini Fog Light HID Question

Looking to put 3k Yellow Hids in my stock fog lights on my R53
Whats the foglight bulb size? and is it a difficult process? Put in HIDS before wasnt to hard but that was on chevys and fords with a lot of room for ballasts

Our foglights are H11. I've been thinking about doing this soon too. If you get a HID that has a slim ballist, install should be pretty easy.

From what I've learned since this project you shouldn't need the code eliminators.

That was my thought since they are being used as foglights. Might be different if used as headlights.

Whats the "dual in, dual out" option????

HIDs used as fog-lights kind of defeats the purpose of a fog-light.

Maybe so, but how often do we really drive in the fog? But until the fog rolls in I want fog lights that match my headlights.

My only qualm about HID fogs is that since they go off when you hit the Hi beams they will be cycling on and off a lot. but I guess in cities you guys don't get to use Hi beams a lot. Here in the boonies I'm cycling them on and off all the time.

To each his own. I live in San Diego and we do get fog from time to time, but not enough to warrant true fog lights. Personally I like yellow fog lights, which is why I went that route. Either way it's the OP's car and money.

I was just sayin'.
