Interior/Exterior Color-keyed speedo/tach faces questions
I saw that Coopertuning.de has speedometer and tachometer faces in red and blue. I think the red ones might look pretty darn sharp in my CR/W MC. But I have a couple questions:
Does anyone have these in their car?
How difficult is the install on them?
Do the numerals and pointers get washed out in a sea of red at night with them?

HAHA, good luck on an answer for this...
We've been asking CTD for a picture of them beyond their stock catalog pic for a while now with no luck. I want to see A picture of them illuminated at night and that will tell me all I want to know.
A note on installation, it's an SOB. For both the tach and the speedo you have to remove the needles. They are pressure fitted and you have to remove them without moving them. You can retrim them afterwards but I was having a problem with my tach holding above 5k rpm, has to do with the servo and it's reseting. Took about a month for it to fully reset, now it's fine. But they are a pain in the butt.
Your question on getting washed out at night. If they are done correctly and like the factory you shouldn't see the red illuminated at night, only the numbers. This is the problem with manufacturing them. If they don't do this right, you see all the break points behind the faces and it appears washed out and blotchy as the faces is not meant to be illuminated this way.
Good luck with this, but I wouldn't be the first person here to buy them.
