Well I've gotten by without Cruise Control in town but the long road trips bother me. I would like to install cruise control. I know that the typicle "cable-variety" doesn't work because of the absence of a throttle cable. Does anyone know if it CAN be done, and if so, which model/part number etc. is required. Has anyone else done this?

Thanks in advance! Mat

welcome to NAM.

Unfortunately I don't think this is going to be easy to do.

You might be able to do a retrofit of the factory cruise control. Since the throttle control is electronic, there is no way that I know of to control it externally. Since the car has all of the components needed for cruise control save for the switches, it might be a retrofit of the switches and a reprogramming of the computers that is the only thing needed.

Yeah, but all the cruise controls are in the steering wheel. That seems to be a pretty major hurdle.

Here is the write-up

Looks like the computer will need to be flashed also, if you want OEM.
