Led Head Lights

New to this site and I want to upgrade from halogen to xenon but not into spending that much. I have found these LED H7 and H11 bulbs. Has anyone ever tried it? Curious to know if it will work or not. Also, I haven't seen one but do 2006 MC have a light on my gauges that will come on thinking a headlight is out?

These are the bulbs I was thinking of going with:

The standard head lights blow on the MINI. My new JCW which is on the water I ordered the Xenons that are adaptive. Hope there are close to what our 2005 SLK had. Best lights ever on a car or truck. Unbelieveable how much light it through down the road from such a lower angle of that car. Self leveling so they never bother anyone. Should be standard equipment an all cars.

I ordered a set of similar amber LEDs for my fog lights & they weren't as bright as the stock halogen.

Those are about 460 lumens (researching similar products) whereas regular H7 bulbs are about 1500 lumens.
No way they're bright enough to be safe or legal.

So i think I'm just going to buy a Xenon conversion kit. Does anyone recommended one over the other? I've been reading a lot about flicker this and that don't wanna get some cheap lights that are gonna "flicker". Also, would it look silly if I don't use a projector headlamp, just leave my old regular halogen lamp and place xenon in there?

It may not look silly per say but glare will look awful if the housings is not made for that kind of light output (HID in a halogen is asking for glare and technically illegal).

Yeah I thought about that also. Do those ballast things get hot?

These guy's

http://www.ddmtuning.com/

I used them for this:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ade-story.html

Just get another kit for the headlights.
Your looking at only $100.00 for both headlights and fog's and for only $25.00 more you can get an extra set of bulbs for both.
(The Slimeline kit is only $10.00 more than the raptor and uses less current and runs cooler)

Not sure, I used them for my fogs and others have said they weren't needed, headlights may be a different story. I figure for $15.00 a pair why not.
(the slimlines being what they are might be ok without, try it, if they give you a problem order them after the fact. Still all plug-n-play)

(when I said $100.00 for both, that was with the eliminators)

Great. One last thing, what is the difference between the 35W and 55W? I seen on the other link you left me that he used 35W. Will the 55W melt my headlamp assembly or something?

There is no need for anything over 35w. It will provide plenty of light and not run the risk of getting too hot.

True, 55w will melt the fog light housing!, standard headlights are 35w for low beams. (with the HID's its all you need) and just keep the high beams halogen (both because of the heat and not having to worry about the ballast's wearing out to soon because of fast on and off's ie. Flashing lights @ oncoming traffic if needed)

Now all you have to do is choose
