Just got the Girl the Mini OEM rails with Thule universal snowboard rack for her 07 Mini-S Xmas present
Now I don't want to open the boxes up yet to measure but I want her to have everything good to go for a snowboard trip right after XMAS.
From the research I have done on here it works, I just need longer mounting bolts to fit the OEM rail?
If so I am looking on Thule website and it looks like they have 80mm and 90mm bolts.
I was wondering what size you guys recommend if those will even fit or will I have to go to local home depot?

Well,

Is your car a Clubman? Because if it is not then you can not have OEM Roof Rails on it. They will not fit. If you do have a Clubman and have bought the Roof Rails then you really need to have them professionaly installed as you have to take out the head liner and airbags to have them mounted.

On the other hand if you have a MCS and have bought the OEM Base Roof Rack System about 1-1/4" thick or about 32mm. From there you will need to know what the snow board rack needs for distance on the bolt for the top side and finger nut side.

Best guess from me not knowing what the snow board attachments are like I would say that you need a bolt in the 50-60mm range

I guess at that because I have the OEM Base Rack System, Kayak Racks and a Box. The box takes 2" (50.8mm) bolts bought from the hardware store and the kayak racks take 2-1/2" (63.5mm).
