Interior/Exterior How install Craven short shifter?
#2
Not sure if there is a how-to available or not but I can give a general descrption.
1. Get the car up in the air, 4 3-Ton jackstands come in handy.
2. On the interior of the car, lift the trim ring around the shifter.
3. under the car, drop the exhaust.
4. Still under the car, remove the center section of heat-shielding (about 3ft)
5. Remove the dust cap (white cover to the shift mech)
6. Remove cables, There are 2 cables with ball-end connectors, pop those off.
7. Remove the clips holding the cables into the box.
8. Remove 4 Torx 40 bolts
9. Slide out the box and remove the cables.
10. lower shifter assembly
11. pry plastic tabs in the white ring surrounding the ball to relase shifter
12. transfer Oring and Plastic cap from old shifter to the new
13. Use grease or Anti Siese on the ball and cap
14 Reverse steps above to install.
Horrible instructions... I know.
What I did... Got someone who's done a few to help

There are instructions on their website...

Also, it's for an R56, but NMeng short shift adapter gives some pictures that might help...
