Side scuttle removal?

I searched and found nothing but a defunct link to a video for the r56. I assume it's pretty simple, but does anyone have a link to a how-to or can just give me a quick run down on how these things come off? Thanks.

You should be able to open the bonnet and then give them a good push. They just slide off. Push from the back of the scuttle towards the front of the car.

You're welcome.

If you're replacing the stock ones with new ones (like the union jack or checkered ones), you'll want to use double-sided tape on the decorative insert to keep them on there tight. I learned my lesson after I lost one and had to spend another $150 on replacements.

I'm replacing the chrome ones with some plain black ones from a Cooper. I looked a bit today, but couldn't really see how they slide off. I'll spend some more time tomorrow, and maybe it'll make more sense when I get the replacements and can see how the tabs are oriented.

It's pretty weird to know nothing about the car I own. I've done everything short of a full engine swap on my other car, but can't figure out some trim pieces on this one!
