Yeah the dimmer works as it should. I used the computer paper trick for my tach today and it worked well. The numbers are hard to read however with my sunglasses on so a less opaque material may be needed. I changed 5 leds in the tacha nd left the needle orange. I think you cfan scrape the coloring off the needle if you need to make it a diff color. Just beware that youll have a clear needle during the day

has anyone found a way to bench test any of their mods without putting them back in the car?? ive got a tach and speedo that im modding (well practicing on before i mod the ones in my car) and id like to be able to at least get the LEDs lit so i can see if its a job well done or a complete failure. No worries, i have PLENTY of extra LEDs

Looking at the excellent wiring diagrams in the Haynes manual, the tach has ground on pin 5 of the connector, lighting on pin 4. Speedo has ground on pin 1, lighting on pin 14. Apply 12v.

good luck on the how-to, you saw how many steps there were for the radio... that's why i got lazy and didn't post the rest.

Wow, the white looks so much nicer than the stock amber... It's 100x more cleaner looking!
