Plasti-Dip question

Hey everyone! I've called all over town and no one carries the Plasti-Dip aerosol can. One place does stock the dip can. Is it feasable to brush it on? Can I get a good smooth finish this way? I'm planning on doing the belt line and grille. Is this a good plan, or should I suck it up and order it online?

Both Home Depot and Lowe's carry the spray can in black only. Use the spray and you will be happy.

No Lowes up here, but I called Home Depot and they didn't know what I was talking about. It might be worth a trip out there to check for myself though. Thanks for the advice guys!

It will be with the spray paint. The workers will not know what it is , so look very hard. It will be beside the dip can. Here in Kansas City, it's behind a stand up display in the corner of the paint isle.

My local Home Depot carries it with the spray paints ... but they are out of stock. This is popular stuff, apparently.

Most "Not All" Home depot emplyee just don't care

I went to Home depot for a product called "Rock Hard" for the guy that was sealing the wood in places and painting my neighbors house. I went to the Paint department and asked for it and the guy did not even get off his stool. He told me he never heard of it. I went to Customer Service and was told they do not carry it and never heard of it. She did not even check it on the computer. I called my neighbor to talk to the painter and he told me exactly where to look in the Paint Department. I went right to it and took one to the paint guy and one to the customer service. I then continued out the door to Lowes about 1 mile away and asked the paint girl there if they carried it. She went and got me a can and I paid and was on my way.
When home depot first opened up they hired part time old geezers and I guess they were paying them too much because now they only have a bunch of kids that really do not care if you purchase anything or not. All of the old geezers are now at Lowes.

On every Home Depot receipt there is a website address that sends you to a research poll that lets you rate the store you just visited, there is even a comment section. Home Depot Corporate sees the complaints. You also get entered into a drawing for a Home Depot gift certificate!

The Home Depot is a good 30m drive from my house, none of it twisty or traffic free, so I just went ahead and ordered a few cans online. If anyone is looking for it in Canada, I got it from Caswell Canada. It worked out to $35 after shipping and HST for two cans, which seems steep, but it beats schlepping around to every major retailer in a 60km radius trying to find it

In the homedepots within the NYC area, they are in two sections, in the paints and in the tools section. I guess it does kinda make sense to have it in the tools section since that is what it is really for. So they might be out in the tools section but have some in the paint section. FYI the people there don't know what this stuff is.

My friend introduced me to it today, and he is very happy with it. He did his entire rear bumper on his G35 and still has half a can left, at $7.00/can. He said the consistency of the spray is that of a sticker, and despite being washable it requires you to basically peel or scratch profusely for it to come off. Apparently this stuff is flying off the shelves, and being used through out every car community.

Home Depot employees are blind, for the most part. I called my "local" (65 miles away) Home Depot and asked them about PlastiDip. They couldn't find it. They looked in hardware, tools, paint, everywhere they could think of.

I told them I live 65 miles away and wanted to make sure they had it. They couldn't find it after having 3 people look for over 5 minutes.

I walked to the paint aisle, scanned it with my eyes and found the can in about a minute.

$6 and a great deal. They really need more training at Home Depot. This isn't the first thing I've asked for that they didn't have, that I found later.....
