How to mount a spoiler

I just got a new spoiler for my 2004 Mini about a month ago and was wondering how people usually mount these up. Do they mount using hardware such as bolts or screws? Do they mount with an adhesive? Thanks in advance.

Well, spoilers are meant to reduce drag, so if it's on there with adhesive only, you may find it's no longer there after a nice drive on the highway.

I think the majority of the spoilers for the mini mount with threaded studs AND an adhesive. There should be a thread for this, but I'm not sure.

Which spoiler kit did you purchase ? MINI has their own methods as do most aftermarket vendors.

The spoiler I purchased is a carbon fiber spoiler from Europe, looks like our duckbill wing. I am going to swing by the body shop tomorrow and get it all sorted out. I was told around $95 for the install, which I think reasonable for sure. I will post some pics once it is completed!!

If it has holes and or bolts that line up with your existing location you have your answer. If not and you have a JCW carbon type you can but the install epoxy kit for around $70 and the plugs for the holes for another $20.
