update:

the lights are working fabulous! give the car kinda a unique and sleek look! i dont think they are toooooooo bright, mayb cuz i was expecting more, but they make a noticeable difference. they are only 55w because anything over 55w is illegal. anyways, im happy with the outcome!

i couldnt wait for altamini's setup of the 4 lights, they are coming out with some later they told me, so i did this myself. plus i was able to customize my setup and my swtiches!

Totally kicking set up! Strong work! Makes we want to add two more rally lights to the front of my mini.

What kind of lights did you use? Where'd you get them and how much?

they are called ProComps. real chep lights, but work great. they are only 20 bucks each (2 are fogs and 2 are driving lights). I think they are great choices compared to the piaa's or hella's that go for about 100-200 dollars a light!! plus, if they get damaged, they are only 20 bucks... all around good decision. i got them at a local offroad shop

Looks nice. However take it from me, go buy som LAMIN-X and protect those. If they are Hella 500/600's they are VERY likely to crack when road debris hits them. Anything that low will take a lot of blasting from road grit as well. I have a couple of KC Daylighters low on mine and the lamin-x has not only taken a few good rocks, but after ~10Kmi they are still nice and clear. This film simply adds life. . .

JMHO

LAMIN-X

Again, I think it looks awesome. I wish you could really take a look behind and below the lights and describe to us how exactly they were mounted by your installer. Thanks!

I think it's unanymous...I love em too.

I wanted to do the 4 across thing on the upper grill, but was worried about airflow blockage. i take it you're not concerned about reducing that much airflow. If it doesn't harm longevity (not that we'd know it thanks to MINI leaving a temp gauge off the car...), then it's a GREAT mod.

No, it's definitely not unanymous. But it's not unanimous either!

Very nice! I particularly like the clean install. While the dealer-mounted driving lights look neat too mounted on top of the bonnet, yours is truly distinctive. Well done.

>>And don't hit any raccoons over 50 pounds on the highway. Your lights won't like that very much. as we were in the middle of a 700mi. road trip and I had to stop at the nearest OfficeMax to get some double stick and packing tape to fix the bumper up until I could get it fixed right. Was just glad we roadtripped at night so no one could see my butcher job fixit!

job well done. there is no such thing as "too many" lights. there's always room for more.

I don't see how you can be getting enough air to your radiator with all that blockage. Good luck keeping your car from overheating when the summer comes. I hope you don't put your car in any track events.
